Have you ever wondered what conversations about diversity and inclusion are like within your future professions? Would you like to become a “fly on the wall” and tune in on high-level discussions?

Our inaugural “Thrive” event was held on September 17th, 2022 in Port Jefferson, NY. LWP Life Academy had the honor of bringing together a small group of select members from our community to be the foundation of insight we intend on sharing with members across the nation.

This event is a series of fireside chats that included discussions pertaining to diversity in areas such as Financial Literacy, wealth gap, Law, Art, STEM, & Civics.

LWP LIFE aspires to use the annual Thrive event and the Thrive Fireside Chat series to bridge the gap between today’s youth and the generations that came before them. What I Have Learned from Native American Art

Using art to explore values & direction

Mr. Alan Groves chose to share his values as a Native American man and artist in our Thrive Fireside Chat 2: Native American Art. In this panel, he wanted to engage with other artists and highlight how art connects us and builds perspective. He shared that one thing that is valued in Native American art is the process. "Art is one way we teach values, history, what is important in life, and how to build relationships with elders."
